“WAYLAND is the perfect country-rock crossover and part of our family. The authenticity of the band and energy that they bring is something you can’t replicate. They give you something to believe in.”
– Guy Fieri, Food Network
“…A really unique sound – right between clearly country and that cool, almost alt sound.
A similar lane to what HARDY and Koe Wetzel are carving, while also still uniquely identifiable.”
– Ty Bentli, Apple Music Country

About Wayland
WAYLAND is a country-rock, crossover, vocal group from West Michigan specializing in the sound they call “blue collar country.” The group toured the country three hundred days per year playing two hundred shows per year for seven years earning four top forties and two top twenties on rock radio all while celebrating every night alongside the self named “WAYLAND WARRIORS.” Their goal was for nobody to play harder than WAYLAND, on or off the stage, as clearly depicted in their viral music video for breakout single and working man’s anthem, “Get A Little.”

About The Song
There’s a feeling in the summer that’s different than every other season. There’s a freedom, an aliveness, and a presence that’s like nothing else and that’s why we all sing about it. When we think about love, true love, the kind we’re all after, it really feels like summer. When the person you love embodies that same freedom, that same presence, there’s nothing else like it. We want everyone to fall in love with that person who feels like summer. We wrote this one with Sam Varga and Frank.
– Phill Vilenski, lead guitar player
